I had a horse riding lesson today and it was so much fun!! I did barrels and cantered but only for a second because I got scared !!None of the horses in the pictures are mine!!

I have been riding since i was 2 here are some tips i used went cantering got scary 1: remember to breathe. Horses and feel your emotions and copy off of them. So if your scared the horse your riding will most likely be too. And it can make the situation stressing for both of you 2: remember to give cues from your reigns and legs to slow down. For legs only “squeeze” with your thighs and not your calves this could give miscommunication to the horse signaling to go faster. And also control your seat. For your reigns dont lock up (ask your trainer what this means) and give subtle cues to slow down and keep a steady pace I am a level 5 dressage rider and not really western i dont know much abt western riding but always go to your trainer for help! I hope this helped!!!
