For the first time, the 55-year-old show-jump festival dedicates an evening slot (18:30 – 20:30) in the Twents Hippisch Centrum to hobbyhorse sport. Riders tackle sequential 40 cm, 60 cm and 80 cm courses under professional arena lighting, with FEI-level commentary explaining tactics to mainstream equestrian fans. Entry €7.50 per class includes a collector’s badge; the fastest clear at each height wins VIP tribune seats for Saturday’s national Grand Prix. A string quartet plays during course-walks, delivering a uniquely formal ambience for the discipline.
