For the first time the nationals go offshore—literally—inside a pop-up arena on Viirelaid’s sandy meadow. Qualifiers from Tallinn, Tartu and Pärnu converge by charter boat for a one-day championship comprising 30–90 cm show-jumping, Kür dressage and a twilight beach-relay lit by torches. Island chefs grill Baltic fish for competitors while spectators lounge on pallet sofas. With no cars allowed, the organisers provide gear carts and eco-loos; tents are pitched under juniper trees for an all-night campfire after the medal ceremony. Every entrant receives a hand-felted blue-black-white mane clip—Estonia’s colours—in lieu of a start number.
